Overview
IGF-1 LR3 (Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 Long Arg3) is a synthetic, recombinant analogue of human IGF-1 with an N-terminal 13 amino acid extension and an Arg³ substitution that dramatically reduces IGF binding protein (IGFBP) affinity. This binding protein resistance extends the plasma half-life approximately 120-fold compared to native IGF-1, making IGF-1 LR3 an essential research tool for studying IGF receptor signaling, cellular anabolic pathways, and tissue growth mechanisms over extended time periods in preclinical models.
