Overview
Bacteriostatic Water for Injection (0.9% Benzyl Alcohol) is sterile water preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which inhibits bacterial growth and allows the solution to be used multiple times once a vial is accessed. It is the standard diluent used for reconstituting lyophilized peptides and proteins in research settings. The benzyl alcohol preservative enables safe multi-draw use from a single vial, unlike plain sterile water which must be used immediately after opening.
| Composition | Water for Injection + 0.9% Benzyl Alcohol (preservative) |
| Sterility | Sterile-filtered (0.22 µm) |
| pH | 5.0–7.0 |
| Volume | 10 mL per vial |
| Closure | Crimp-top vial with rubber septum |
| Storage | Room temperature (15–30°C), protect from freezing |
Recommended Use
- Reconstitution of lyophilized peptide research compounds
- Preparation of protein and hormone standards for assays
- Multi-draw vial for repeated peptide dilution in protocols
- Compatible with BPC-157, TB-500, CJC-1295, Ipamorelin, and all Bastion Peptides products
Tip: Inject bacteriostatic water slowly down the side of the vial rather than directly onto the lyophilized peptide cake. Gently swirl — do not shake — to ensure complete dissolution.
